Das Seminar ist eng mit der Grundlagenvorlesung des Arbeitsbereiches III verbunden. Die in der Vorlesung aufgeworfenen Fragen z.B. nach dem Gegenstand der Sportsoziologie, ihrem spezifischen Erklärungsansatz, nach ihren Theorien und Methoden sowie nach ihrer Bedeutung für die Praxis des Sports werden anhand ausgewählter Literatur ausführlich behandelt.
