Die Studierenden erarbeiten im Kurs selbständig Charakteristika der Epidermis ausgewählter Evertebratengruppen mit Hilfe von Transmissions- und Raster-Elektronenmikroskopen. Dabei erlernen sie den gesamten Arbeitsgang elektronenmikroskopischer Präparation von der Fixierung bis zu Photoarbeiten. Der Kurs ist obligat für diejenigen, die eine Arbeit im Bereich Zoomorphologie und Systematik schreiben wollen. Leistungskontrolle erfolgt durch Protokolle in Publikationsform.
