Die Quantenchromodynamik, die die Eichfeldtheorie der Starken Wechselwirkung darstellt, bildet den Gegenstand der Vorlesung. Dabei nehmen die Quantisierung von Eichtheorien, die störungstheoretische Auswertung des Pfadintegrals und die Renormierungsgruppengleichungen eine zentrale Stellung ein. Ferner werden
Prozesse der Starken Wechselwirkung besprochen, wie sie an Hochenergiebeschleunigern beobachtet werden (tiefinelastische Streuung, Elektron-Positron-Vernichtung, hadronische Jets)
