Entlang eines zeitlichen Gradienten vom Unterdevon bis in die Kreide werden die unterschiedlichen geolo-gischen Einheiten, deren abgeleitete ökologische Bedingungen sowie die Gesteine vorgestellt. Auf den je-weiligen Standorten mit unterschiedlichem Gesteinsuntergrund werden die Pflanzengesellschaften kartiert und die Bodenbildungsbedingungen sowie die Ökologie der Gesellschaften abgeleitet. Die Exkursion richtet sich an Studierende, die an Zusammenhängen zwischen Geologie, Bodenbildung und Bodenkunde und Pflanzenökologie interessiert sind
