DNA Microarrays haben in den letzten Jahren Einzug in verschiedenste Bereiche der Biologie und Medizin gehalten. Durch die Anordnung tausender DNA-Proben auf extrem kleiner Fläche erlauben sie die hochgradig parallele Beobachtung der Genexpression der unt ersuchten Zelle und sind damit essentiell für die Analyse ganzer Genome.
Im Seminar werden folgende für die Bioinformatik relevante Themen in Form von Referaten besprochen:
- DNA-Chip-Design
- Datenakquisition
- Normalisierungmethoden
- Qualitätskontro lle
- Clustering und Klassifikation
- Datenstandards
