Die Vorlesung bietet Vorträge über die Teile der Administration eines vernetzten Rechnersystems an, die man nicht unbedingt durch Praxis erlernen kann, u.a.,

  • Netz-Protokolle, Tools und deren Administration in Unix-Netzen
  • WWW- und Mail-Server und deren Administration
  • Sicherheit im Internet und im WWW-Service
  • sendmail und die Benuztung von DHCP und DRAC

Die Vorlesung beginnt mit einer auf dem On-Line-Handbuch "Einführung in die Netze" basierenden Einführung in das Ethernet und TCP/IP. Weitere Teile des Buches können im Lauf des Semesters zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
