Erich Kästner Romane für Kinder und Erwachsene gehören zu den meistverfilmten literarischen Werken. Ebenso wie Kästners Bücher erfreuen sich auch die Verfilmungen einer lang anhaltenden Popularität. Eine Auswahl der Filme nach seinen Romanen und der von ihm als Drehbuchautor geschriebenen Filme sollen gesichtet und in nach Schulstufen differenzierten Gruppen Modelle für die Behandlung im Deutschunterricht erarbeitet werden.
