Die Vertiefung begleitet das Studium des Überblickmoduls und führt in die Techniken wissenschaftlichen Denkens, Beobachtens und Arbeitens ein. Die TeilnehmerInnen beschäftigen sich in Kleingruppen mit einem Thema anknüpfend an die Vorlesung zum Überblicksmodul (E1 oder E2). Dieses Thema wird nach wiss. Kriterien in Form eines Referats plus Ausarbeitung selbstständig vertieft
Im Tutorium wird dabei das Selbstlernen angeregt, die Studierenden werden unter anderem darin unterstützt, eine Fragestellung zu entwickeln, geeignete Literatur zu recherchieren und die jeweilige Fragestellung auf Grundlage der Literatur zu bearbeiten und im Gruppenzusammenhang zu präsentieren.
Um diesen Prozess angemessen unterstützen zu können, startet das Tutorium ca. einen Monat nach offiziellem Veranstaltungsbeginn und beinhaltet, neben Präsenzsitzungen, individuelle Sprechstunden, sowie ein Kolloquium zum Ende des Semesters.
Die unbenotete Einzelleistung (4 LP) wird durch die Mitwirkung an einem ca. 30 min. Referat erworben, wobei der für den Vortrag bearbeitete Aspekt in einer 6-8-seitigen Ausarbeitung „vertieft“ werden soll.
