Die Veranstaltung befasst sich mit zentralen Bereichen und Fragestellungen der schulischen und außerschulischen Literaturvermittlung. Bei der außerschulischen Vermittlung wird es um die Akteure der literarischen Kommunikation gehen, um Literatur als Ware und Formen institutionalisierter Literaturvermittlung. Im Bereich der schulischen Literaturvermittlung werden die grundlegenden Fragen der Literaturdidaktik im Mittelpunkt stehen, die von dem Problem der Kanonbildung bis zu konkreten didaktischen Verfahren in den verschiedenen Stufen des Deutschunterrichts reichen. Die Texte für die Veranstaltung werden über die Dokumentenablage im eKVV bereitgestellt.

Die benotete Einzelleistung besteht in einer Hausarbeit (ca. 15 Seiten); es handelt sich dabei um eine Sachtextanalyse, die in drei angeleiteten Schritten im Verlauf des Semesters erstellt wird.
