Contents, comment

Wer von einem Land in ein anderes migriert und inwieweit eine solche Migration erfolgreich ist, hängt in erheblichem Maße von den sozialen Kontexten und dem sozialen Hintergrund des Einzelnen ab. Während soziale Ungleichheiten zwischen den Ländern Unterschiede in den Migrationsmustern verursachen, kann ein Migrationshintergrund in Verbindung mit sozialen Kontexten auch soziale Ungleichheiten in den Zielländern hervorrufen.

Das Seminar beleuchtet die vielfältigen Zusammenhänge zwischen sozialer Ungleichheit und Migration aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Anhand einer Vielzahl von Beispielen aus der aktuellen Forschung sollen die komplexen Zusammenhänge verstanden werden.

Studienleistung: Teilnahme an Gruppenarbeiten (z.B. Bearbeitung von Übungsaufgaben), Moderation oder Protokollarbeit und Präsentationen nach Vorgaben des Dozenten. Die Studienleistung dient der kommunikativen Praxis und dem Erlernen wichtiger Fähigkeiten im Rahmen des Seminars. Die Studienleistung ist Teil des Selbststudiums und der Präsenzzeit und entspricht einem Zeitaufwand von etwa 30 Stunden.

Benotete Hausarbeit: Das Seminar bietet den Studierenden die Möglichkeit, ihre Kenntnisse über theoretische Ansätze im Bereich der Forschung zu sozialen Ungleichheiten zu vertiefen. Im Rahmen des Seminars kann eine benotete Arbeit im Umfang von 20-30 Seiten angefertigt werden.
