Das Ziel des Seminars ist, zentrale Konzepte zum Thema Psychische Gesundheit kennen zu lernen und auf den Schulalltag anwenden zu können. Zukünftige Lehrkräfte sollen ein Bewusstsein dafür entwickeln, was Psychische Gesundheit bei Lehrerinnen und Lehrern, sowie bei Schülerinnen und Schülern bedeutet, sowie Möglichkeiten der Förderung kennen lernen und verinnerlichen. Innerhalb des Seminars sollen Möglichkeiten nicht nur theoretisch betrachtet werden, sondern selbst ausprobiert werden, gerade auch im Hinblick auf Burn-Out-Prävention.

Da es sich um ein Aufbauseminar handelt, wäre der vorherige Besuch der Vorlesung „Psychologie für die Schule“ wünschenwert.
Ebenso sollte bereits ein Basisseminar besucht worden sein.Die Seminarplatzvergabe erfolgt (wie auch in den anderen Psychologie-Biwi-Veranstaltungen) in der ersten Sitzung.

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme ist die Bereitschaft, sich innerhalb des Seminars aktiv an Übungen, Gruppenarbeiten und Diskussionen zu beteiligen. Ebenso sollen Teilnehmende Lernzuwachs und Übungserfahrungen regelmäßig reflektieren und festhalten. Weitere/ abweichende Anforderungen werden in der ersten Sitzung bekannt gegeben.
