Max ist ein virtueller, humanoider Agent, der in einer ständigen Installation auf dem Flur M4 "lebt". Er nimmt Menschen auf dem Flur wahr und interagiert mit ihnen in Sprache, Gestik und Mimik.
In diesem Projekt sollen seine Interaktionsfähigkeiten erweitert werden:
- Ein vorhandener Spracherkenner soll in das System integriert werden;
- Eine verfügbare Bildverarbeitung zur 3D-Gesichtsfindung und -verfolgung mit Stereokameras ist anzubinden;
- Die multimodalen Eingabedaten über Sprache, Gesichtsposition und Blickrichtung in der Interaktion sind integriert zu verarbeiten;
- Das Dialogsystem ist an diese Wahrnehmungsfähigkeiten anzupassen.
Requirements for participation, required level

Vorkenntnisse in Sprach-/Bildverarbeitung und Mensch-Maschine-Kommunikation sind von Vorteil, ebenso wie praktische Erfahrungen in der Softwareentwicklung mit C++. Die Bereitschaft zur Einarbeitung in Softwareumgebungen (Max-System, Spracherkenner, etc.) wird erwartet.
