Das Praktikum ist als Ergänzung der Lehrveranstaltung "Molekularbiologie des Chloroplasten" gedacht. Es werden an Hand konstruierter Knock Out-Mutanten der einzelligen Mutantenanalyse und zur Auffindung markierter Genbereiche vorgestellt. Dazu zählen neben Southern Blottin, Northern Blotting und LMS-PCR auch Computergestützte Datenbankenanalysen identifizierter DNA-Fragmente. Zur biochemischen Charakterisierun des jeweiligen Phänotyps werden fluoreszenzspektroskopische Methoden eingeführt und angewendet.
