With its new pilot programme, “The Path to a doctorate", starting in the winter semester 2021/22, the BGHS wants to facilitate the transition from master to doctorate for international Master students fromBielefeld University interested in a doctorate in history, sociology, anthropology, political science, cultural studies or related disciplines.
During this four-month programme, five excellent Master students from the international tracks at Bielefeld University get the opportunity to discuss the topic for their PhD with their peers and scholars of Bielefeld University, begin to prepare a research proposal, and learn about doctoral funding programmes in Germany.

This module is only open to already selected Master studentes from the International Tracks
