Kinder im Grundschulalter sind Experten darin, ihr Umfeld auf ästhetische Weise zu erkunden, sich spielerisch-gestaltend in Beziehung dazu zu setzen und Erlebtes mit bildnerischen Mitteln auszudrücken. Dieses Potenzial gilt es im Kunstunterricht der Grundschule aufzugreifen und mit entwicklungsadäquaten Herausforderungen zu fördern. Ausgehend von einer Vergegenwärtigung der eigenen ästhetischen Sozialisation werden die Art und Weise der Selbst- und Welterkundung von Kindern und die Entwicklung der kindlichen und jugendlichen Bildsprache auf der Grundlage ausgewählter theoretischer Positionen thematisiert. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist ein fachlich fundiertes Verständnis der Bedeutung ästhetischer Erfahrungsbildung im Kunstunterricht der Grundschule mit Ausblick auf die Sekundarstufe.
