Die Tätigkeiten im Medien- und Kultursektor differenzieren sich weiter aus; ihre Attraktivität für Absolvent/innen verschiedener Studiengänge ist ungebrochen, obwohl Arbeitsbedingungen und Verdienstchancen zumindest für Berufseinsteiger prekär sind.
In diesem Seminar werden auf der Folie der Theorien zur Wissensgesellschaft und Wissensarbeit sowie zur Subjektivierung von Arbeit die Erwerbsformen in den Medien- und Kulturberufen und die Arbeitsorientierungen der dort Arbeitenden untersucht. Dabei werden zugleich grundlegende arbeits- und berufssozio¬logische Texte und neue Studien zu den Arbeitsbedingungen sowie zu Lebensformen und subjektiven Motiven bearbeitet.
In der ersten Woche wird das Programm vorgestellt; die vorgesehenen Texte und das Literaturverzeichnis können bereits vorher im stud.IP und im Semester¬apparat in der UB eingesehen werden. Das Seminar ist in thematische Blöcke (jeweils zwei bis drei Wochen) gegliedert; für jede Thematik werden Texte als Pflichtlektüre für Alle zur Verfügung gestellt.

Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung "Einführung in die Arbeitssoziologie" (Geissler) wird vorausgesetzt.
