In dem Seminar geht es um die Arbeits- und Lebensformen und die kulturellen Deutungsangebote zu Arbeit und Leben in der Hochphase der industriellen Gesellschaft in Westdeutschland. Es werden soziologische Analysen der technischen und sozialen Bedingungen von Industriearbeit wie auch der Lebensbedingungen und Lebensformen in der Industriegesellschaft der Nachkriegszeit (in Deutschland) behandelt.
Das Seminar richtet sich auf den Zusammenhang von politisch-historischem Kontext, biographischem, privatem und fachlichem Hintergrund sowie technischen und betrieblichen Anforderungen von kooperativer Arbeit in der Industrie, in Dienstleistungen und im Haushalt.
