Das Seminar gibt einen Überblick über den Arbeitsmarkt für SozialwissenschaftlerInnen. Es fragt nach der Relevanz und der Verwendung sozialwissenschaftlichen Wissens in den verschiedenen Praxisbereichen, analysiert Arbeitsanforderungen und Qualifikationsprofile sowie Prozesse der Berufseinmündung und Muster der Lebensführung in den verschiedenen Berufsfeldern.
Die in dieser Übung von den Studierenden durchzuführende Praxisstudie soll erste Einblicke in Qualifikationsanforderungen, Arbeitsbedingungen und Arbeitsmarktchancen der in Frage kommenden Berufsfelder geben und es den Studierenden ermöglichen, auf dieser Grundlage eine Entscheidungen über das zu wählende fachliche Profil zu treffen.
