Beschreibung
In der Vorlesung werden ausgewählte Abschnitte zu den Grundlagen der modernen Analyse von Mikrodaten aus der Basisliteratur behandelt. Zentrale Themen sind statistische Verfahren zur Analyse sogenannter "Limited Dependent Variable" (LDV) Modelle, auf die sich klassische ökonometrische Verfahren nicht (sinnvoll) anwenden lassen, z.B. für diskrete oder zensierte abhängige Variablen. Details zur Maximum-Likelihood Methode können (in unterschiedlicher Tiefe) der weiterführenden Literatur entnommen werden. Die eingeführten Methoden werden anhand vorlesungsbegleitender Beispiele mit realen Daten und geeigneter Software - z.B. R und EViews - illustriert.

Prüfung
60-minütige Klausur am Semesterende.

Requirements for participation, required level

Vorausgesetzt werden Kenntnisse aus den Veranstaltungen Statistik I und II sowie Einführung in die Ökonometrie.
