Das Grundseminar führt exemplarisch und anhand von Schlüsselwerken- und Texten in grundlegende bild- und kunsthistorische Arbeitsweisen und Denkmodelle ein. Im Zentrum des Seminars wird die Beschreibung und Analyse von Bildern, Artefakten, analogen und digitalen Medien stehen. Angestrebt wird auf diese Weise ein erster Einblick in Epochen, Gattungen, Techniken und Grundbegriffe einer kultur- und medienwissenschaftlich informierten Bild- und Kunstgeschichte.

In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
Das begleitende Tutorium ist verpflichtender Bestandteil des Seminars. Beide Veranstaltungen sind eng aufeinander abgestimmt, so dass unbedingt davon abgeraten wird, das Seminar ohne Tutorium zu besuchen. Eine Verbuchung der abschließenden Prüfungsleistung setzt die aktive Mitarbeit im Seminar/Tutorium voraus.
Aufgrund der Corona Pandemie wird das Seminar auch im WS 20/21 als Zoom-Seminar stattfinden müssen. In der ersten Sitzung werden wir das weitere Vorgehen besprechen. Es ist notwendig, dass sie über eine stabile Internet Verbindung und ein funktionierendes Video verfügen.
