Anläßlich des Reformationstages 1932 hielt Dietrich Bonhoeffer eine Predigt über die Aufgabe der Kirche: "protestieren muß sie!"
Aber wie soll dieser Protest aussehen? Was macht die Identität des Protestantismus aus? Dieser Frage wollen wir uns im Seminar widmen und dabei grundlegende Texte bekannter evangelischer Theologen lesen. Dazu gehören bespielsweise die von Bultmann angestoßene Entmythologisierungsdebatte, Tillichs "protestantische Prinzipien", Bonhoeffers Entwurf der teuren Gnade und natürlich Texte von Martin Luther. Ein detailierter Seminarplan und eine Literaturliste wird zu Beginn des Seminars ausgegeben.

Da es sich bei diesem Seminar um ein Lektürekurs handelt, wird von den Teilnehmer erwartet die zu behandelnden Texte sorgfältig zu lesen und durch kleine Aufgabenstellungen vorzubereiten. Dabei ist die regelmäßige Teilnahme und aktive Beteiligung an Diskussionen vorausgesetzt.
