Das Seminar behandelt eine entscheidende Epochenschwelle der deutschen Literaturgeschichte, die sich im 19. Jahrhundert nach dem Ende der Romantik abzeichnet. Nach einer kurzen Einführung in romantische Theorie und Praxis (Texte von Wackenroder/Tieck, Novalis, Schlegel, Eichendorff) konzentriert sich das Seminar auf exemplarische Autoren und Texte der ‚Postromantik‘: Adelbert von Chamisso (Gedichte, „Faust“, „Peter Schlemihls wundersame Geschichte“), Heinrich Heine (Gedichte, „Der Doktor Faust. Ein Tanzpoem“), Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (Gedichte, „Die Judenbuche“).
Arbeitsformen: Regelmäßige Teilnahme, Gruppenarbeit, Schreibaufgaben
