Auch 200 Jahre nach ihrem Erscheinen sind manche Texte von Schiller noch ‚thrilling‘ und absolut anschließbar an Fragen der Gegenwart: Warum zögert der Feldherr Wallenstein auf dem Schlachtfeld? Wer oder was steht einer zügigen Aktion im Wege? Welche Ressourcen hat die vielkritisierte Procrastination? Was heißt eigentlich gouvernementales Handeln? (Schillers Drama Wallenstein) – Was sind die Geisterseher unserer Zeit? Welche politischen Machenschaften lassen uns glauben, dass wir in einer falschen Wirklichkeit leben? Wer qualifiziert Fake News? Warum arbeitet Politik mit Verunklarungen? (Schillers Roman Der Geisterseher) – Und schließlich der Kindsmord: Was sagt es über eine Gesellschaft, wenn Menschen aus Verzweiflung töten? Mit welchen Affekten, Emotionen und Überzeugungen wird um das ‚richtige‘ Verhalten gerungen? (Schillers Gedicht Die Kindsmörderin)
Mit diesen Fragen werden wir uns dem Werk Schillers (und unserer Gegenwart) nähern und uns mit dem Unaufgelösten, Ungeklärten, Fragenden beschäftigen, das in manchen seiner Werke deutlich wird, Reibung produziert und Unruhe auslöst.Zu besorgen (und gern zu lesen!) sind vorab: Der Geisterseher und Wallenstein I und II, beide ausnahmsweise in der Reclam-Ausgabe
