230207 Introduction to the Study of Literature in English (S) (WiSe 2004/2005)

Short comment

Contents, comment

This class is part of BA Basic Module 3 and will be taught in English.

There will be four sections to class work. The first will teach students how to process critical texts (also known as secondary literature), while the other three will focus on the interpretation of the three major litrary genres, i.e. drama, poetry and narrative.

The course will also give students a first idea of some of the critical approaches that are used in the reading of literary texts.

Students can get three credit points, one for a group essay-cum-interview and two for passing the end-of-term written exam.

Please note: this course can only be done together with my course A Survey of British Literature , no 230206
