In der Veranstaltung wird dasselbe Themenspektrum wie in der Veranstaltung „60 Jahre deutscher Sozialstaat - Theoriekurs“ (300313, Mo 14-16h) behandelt (siehe dort). Der Schwerpunkt liegt jedoch auf der empirischen Analyse historischer Zeitdokumente und Quellen. Wer gleichzeitig die Theorieveranstaltung Mo 14-16h besucht (was nicht zwingend ist, aber empfohlen wird; s.u.), erfährt hier eine Vertiefung der Themen der Veranstaltung. Zugleich übt die Veranstaltung in die empirische Analyse von Dokumenten ein.

Sozialwissenschaftliche Grundkenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt.
Die Veranstaltung „60 Jahre deutscher Sozialstaat - Empiriekurs“ (300026, Mo 16-18h) kann unabhängig von der Veranstaltung „60 Jahre deutscher Sozialstaat - Theoriekurs“ (300313, Mo 14-16h) besucht werden. Die beiden Veranstaltungen ergänzen sich jedoch, so dass ein Besuch beider zu empfehlen ist (wobei Sie wählen können, ob Sie 2 Leistungsnachweise, zweimal aktive Teilnahme oder eine Kombination von einem Leistungsnachweis und einmal aktive Teilnahme anstreben).
