Intelligente Agenten sind autonome Systeme, die im Auftrag von Dritten
tätig sind. Sie weisen gegenber "normalen" Software-Systemen
Eigenschaften menschlicher Intelligenz wie Lernfähigkeit, logisches
Schließen oder Kreativität auf, und sind bis zu einem gewissen Grade
autonom d.h. zur Eigeninitiative fähig. Interface-Agenten sind speziell
auf die Rolle des Mittlers zwischen Mensch und Computersystem
zugeschnitten. Sie handeln im Interesse des Benutzers, allerdings ohne
seine unmittelbare Kontrolle. Die möglichen Anwendungen reichen vom
automatischen Bildschirm-Layout über intelligente Filtersysteme für
E-Mail bis hin zur Informationsbeschaffung im Internet. Im Rahmen des
Seminars sollen Grundlagen und Anwendungen intelligenter
Interface-Agenten anhand von ausgearbeiteten Vorträgen diskutiert
werden.

Das Seminar ist für Studierende im Hauptstudium vorgesehen.
Vorkenntnisse aus dem Bereich der künstlichen Intelligenz sind hilfreich
