Macht ist ein zentraler Aspekt von sozialen Beziehungen und ein reizvolles Thema für narrative Medien. Im Seminar sollen verschiedene Herangehensweisen der Analyse dieses Aspekts am Beispiel der Serie "Star Trek - The Next Generation" erarbeitet werden. Im Mittelpunkt sollen vor allem Dialoge einzelner Episoden und die dort deutlich werdenden Konstruktionsmechanismen von Sprache stehen. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Perspektive der Diskurstanalyse nach Michel Foucault und den Ansätzen der Cultural Studies.
