Titel: Kongruenz mit Koordinationsstrukturen

In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit Theorien zu Sätzen der Art "Maria und Petra gehen spazieren" bzw. "Maria oder Petra geht/gehen spazieren". Hier kongruiert das Verb mit einem Subjekt, das eine Koordination, also eine "und"/"oder"-Verbindung enthält. Diese Art von syntaktischer Konstruktion zeigt ungewöhnlich viel Varianz hinsichtlich der Kongruenzmarkierung am finiten Verb und es ist nicht wirklich klar, warum es diese Varianz gibt. Um dieses Phänomen zu ergründen, bietet der Kurs (i) eine Einführung in moderne Sichtweisen auf das Phänomen der Subjekt-Verb-Kongruenz, (ii) eine Einführung zur syntaktischen Struktur von Koordinationen, (iii) eine Übersicht zur sprachübergreifenden und sprachinternen Varianz, sowie (iv) einen Blick auf die historische Entwicklung der Kongruenzmuster. Ziele des Kurses sind (i) ein besseres Verständnis moderner syntaktischer Theorien, (ii) eine verbesserte Einsicht in verschiedene Methodiken der linguistischen Forschung (introspektiv, experimentell, korpusbasiert) und (iii) ein besseres Verständnis für die Interaktion verschiedener syntaktischer Prozesse.
