Das Seminar gliedert sich in zwei Abschnitte. Im ersten Teil werden wir uns mit Unterrichtsplanung befassen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Planung Offenen Unterrichts am Beispiel der Portfolioarbeit in der Sekundarstufe I. Außerdem schauen wir uns Unterrichtsplanung mit dem Modell des Deeper Learning an. Feedback kommt als bedeutender Teil offener Unterrichtssettings in den Blick.
Im zweiten Abschnitt fokussieren wir auf Methoden des Classroom-Managements, hierin insbesondere die Prävention von und der Umgang mit Unterrichtsstörungen sowie auf Kommunikation als einer zentralen Form des Lehrer*innenhandelns. Das Konzept der gewaltfreien Kommunikation und die emotionale Kompetenz von Lehrkräften sind hier zentral

Als Studienleistung wird die aktive Teilnahme am Präsenzseminar verlangt, die über die Abgabe kleiner Aufgaben während der Seminarzeit nachgewiesen werden muss. Eine Voraussetzung, um aktiv teilnehmen zu können, ist das intensive Vorbereiten der Seminarlektüre. Neben der aktiven Teilnahme, die wesentlich sein wird für ein Gelingen des Seminars, wird als Studienleistung die Vorbereitung und Durchführung einer Gruppenarbeit oder einer mündlichen Präsentation vorausgesetzt.
