In diesem Kurs beschäftigen wir uns ausführlich mit der Struktur einer nicht-indoeuropäischen Sprache, nämlich Ungarisch. Ungarisch gehört zur uralischen Sprachfamilie, zu der in Europa auch Finnisch und Estnisch gehören. Ungarisch unterscheidet sich in vielen grammatikalischen Eigenschaften von den indo-europäischen Sprachen, die mehrheitlich in Europa gesprochen werden.
Diese grammatikalischen Eigenschaften sind der Fokus dieses Kurses. Wir betrachten die Phonologie, Morphologie und Syntax des Ungarischen für sich und im Sprachvergleich und diskutieren auch sprachgeschichtliche Aspekte sowie
Sprachkontakt.
Studierende lernen in diesem Kurs, die Eigenschaften einer einzelnen Sprache im Detail zu beschreiben und diese in einen linguistischen Kontext zu setzen. Außerdem bietet das Kennenlernen einer sehr anders strukturierten Sprache neue Perspektiven auf das Deutsche und andere europäische Sprachen.
