Are you one of those individuals who feels relatively confident with his or her English
language abilities and skills, but often feels like there must be better ways to express
things? Maybe you sometimes feel like your range of expression in English is flat or
lacking efficiency and effect. Are you looking to put your own mark on the language
you use and include some of your personality and perspective in the words you
choose?
Through a variety of activities and approaches, this course focuses on helping its
participants build their general active and passive vocabulary in order to enable a
better range of expression. While vocabulary is the main focus of the class, learning is
contextualized within communicative exercises and activities, thus providing an
environment for practicing general English communication skills at the pre-advanced
level as well.
