This class provides headspace for students in the MA British and American Studies and the MA Interamerican Studies. Emulating real-life think tanks, our goal is to ponder real-life academic issues and try to find viable real-life solutions. The methods used towards this goal are mostly unusual and often creative. Reflection and interaction are key for this class to work, as are individual contributions and commitment. You only get out of the Think Tank what you put in. In general terms, the class will move back and forth between students' individual projects and the bigger picture, the academic disciplines represented in the class, and academia as such.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
