Beschreibung:
Seit den 60er Jahren gab es in der Ökumenischen Bewegung eine intensive Diskussion darüber, wie sich das Einheitstreben der Kirchen in Beziehung setzen kann, in Beziehung gesetzt wird, zur wachsenden Transnationalität und späteren Globalisierung menschheitlicher Interaktionen.
Die jüngeren Entwicklungen, sowohl im interreligiösen, fundamentalistischen aber auch im Bereich migrierenden Formen von Spiritualität, stellen die Frage neu. Was bedeutet Einheit der Kirche, was heißt Einheit der Menschheit. Welche Verständnisse von Einheit gibt es, die den neueren Entwicklungen kompatibel sein können.
