Das Kolloquium richtet sich an Studierende, die eine empirische Abschlussarbeit (Diplom-, Bachelor- oder Masterarbeit) im Bereich der Pädagogischen Psychologie schreiben. Behandelt werden inhaltliche, lernstrategische und methodische Fragen, die typischerweise auftauchen, wenn erstmalig eine wissenschaftliche Arbeit verfasst wird. Das Kolloquium soll zugleich ein Forum für den Erfahrungsaustausch der Studierenden untereinander bieten.
