Neben einer kurzen Einführung zu allgemeinen Aspekten und Fragen des Anfangsunterrichts geht es schwerpunktmäßig um verschiedene Perspektiven des Schriftspracherwerbs unter besonderer Berücksichtigung heterogener Lerngruppen. Zunächst geht es um die Vermittlung theoretischer Basiskenntnisse, dann folgt ein Vergleich und die Reflexion unterschiedlicher Konzepte zum Lesen und Schreiben lernen. Konkrete und praxisnahe Bausteine zur Gestaltung von Unterricht und Lernarrangements im 1. Schuljahr schließen sich an. Dazu gehören auch Maßnahmen der Prävention, Diagnostik und Förderung.
Im Seminar wird eine aktive Beteiligung in Form von Partner- Gruppen- und Expertenarbeiten vorausgesetzt.
