Das Seminar thematisiert überblicksartig die Geschichte der Schule und ihre bildungs- und sozialhistorische sowie -politischen Einbindung. Darauf aufbauend werden verschiedene Theorien und theoretische Perspektiven auf die Schule in ihrer gesellschaftlichen und individuellen Bedeutung eingenommen.
