In diesem Seminar steht der Mensch im Zentrum künstlerischen Wirkens. Mit den unterschiedlichsten zeichnerischen und malerischen Möglichkeiten widmet sich dieses Seminar dem Thema Porträt. Vom Kopfbild bis zur Ganzfigur: Welche Proportionen stecken in der menschlichen Physiognomie? Wie verändert sich diese durch Mimik, Gestik und Haltung? Was sind die signifikanten Elemente, um eine Person in ihrem individuellen Erscheinungsbild wiedererkennbar zu mach und mit Ausdruck zu füllen.
Geübt und künstlerisch geforscht wird in dieser Hinsicht an sich selbst und an den Mitstreiter:innen des Seminars. Aber auch die flüchtigen Begegnungen auf den Fluren und in der Halle der Uni können unter Umständen im Laufe des Seminars zum Studienobjekt werden.
