261014 Das Körper-Geist-Problem (HSem) (SoSe 2006)

Die Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Körper und Geist beschäftigt die Philosophie schon seit der Antike. Was sind Gedanken, Wahrnehmungen und Gefühle eigentlich? Und in welcher Beziehung stehen diese mentalen Phänomene zu körperlichen (d.h. neuronalen) Zuständen und Prozessen? Im Seminar werden wir verschiedene Antworten auf diese Fragen diskutieren. Im Zentrum sollen dabei moderne Ansätze stehen (Identitätstheorie, Funktionalismus, Eliminativismus); doch auch mit den Wurzeln der aktuellen Debatte (Descartes, Hume, Thomas Huxley) werden wir uns ausführlich beschäftigen.
Für eine Leistungsbescheinigung (im BA-Studiengang) werden zwei kürzere Arbeiten (ausgearbeiteter Diskussionsbeitrag, Protokoll, Referat usw.), für einen Leistungsnachweis (im Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird eine Hausarbeit
erwartet.
