Obwohl der Mordprozeß gegen Milo verloren ging, galt Ciceros Rede Pro Milone schon in der Antike als Meisterwerk. Warum dies so ist, soll Gegenstand des Seminars sein. Die Feinheiten der rhetorischen Argumentation, ja Manipulation lassen sich deshalb so lehrreich nachvollziehen, weil mit dem antiken Kommentar des Asconius Pedianus ein Korrektiv zur Verfügung steht, das über den Fall aus objektivere Warte berichtet.
