Die Promovierenden erhalten einen ersten (oder, je nach Vorkenntnissen, zweiten) Einblick in verschiedene Methoden der Lichtmikroskopie. Die UEs teilen sich wie folgt auf: UE1 Theorie, UE 2 Mikroskopische Bildgebung von Gewebeschnitten am Objektträgerscanner, UE3 Konfokale Laser-Scanning-Mikroskopie, UE4 Konfokale Spinning-Disk-Mikroskopie.
Lernziele:
1) Die Promovierenden verstehen den Unterschied zwischen den Begriffen „Weitfeld-", „Konfokal-“ und „Laser-Scanning-Mikroskopie“ und können beispielhaft Anwendungsgebiete der verschiedenen Techniken (und ihrer Kombination) benennen.
2) Die Promovierenden können die physikalische Auflösungsgrenze der Lichtmikroskopie erklären und Methoden zur Überwindung dieser benennen.
3) Die Promovierenden begreifen die Verwendung unterschiedlicher Lichtquellen (LED-Beleuchtung versus Laser-Anregung).
4) Die Promovierenden können anhand des Anregungs- und Emissionsspektrums eines fluoreszierenden Farbstoffes den korrekten Filterwürfel auswählen.
