Die Romane unserer Gegenwart sind voll von Philosophen – und zwar nicht von irgendwelchen erfundenen Philosophen, sondern von höchst reellen historischen Personen wie René Descartes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Immanuel Kant, Edmund Husserl, Edith Stein, Theodor W. Adorno und Hans Blumenberg. Was macht aber Philosophen (und gerade diese Philosophen) zu interessanten Romanfiguren? Was ist an ihrem Leben und Werk erzählenswert? Und wie wird dabei erzählt? Im Seminar werden wir der gegenwärtigen Faszination für die ›großen Denker‹ unserer Kultur bzw. für die Menschen hinter den tiefen Einsichten nachgehen.

Wir lesen Texte von Klaas Huizing, Durs Grünbein, Karl-Heinz Ott, Sibylle Lewitscharoff, Gisela von Wysocki und Thomas Lehr.
Bitte lesen Sie als Vorbereitung: Sibylle Lewitscharoff, Blumenberg, Berlin 2011 (Suhrkamp).

Philosophiegeschichtliche Vorkenntnisse sind nützlich, werden aber nicht vorausgesetzt. Der Seminarplan wird zusammen mit den weiteren organisatorischen Eckdaten in der ersten Sitzung vorgestellt.
