Kinder werden als Mädchen und Jungen geboren, in Familien, die sich kulturell, sprachlich und hinsichtlich ihrer religiösen Orientierung in einer kleiner werdenden Welt immer mehr unterscheiden.
Geschlechterdifferenz und ethnische Differenzen erzeugen in pädagogischen Institutionen ein Maß an Heterogenität, durch die sich Pädagogik und Erziehungswissenschaft herausgefordert sehen.
Im Seminar wird jenes heterogene Feld auf der Grundlage theoretischer Analysen und empirischer Befunde vermessen.
