Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit ausgewählten Märchen und Novellen um 1800. Dabei werden gattungstheoretische und ästhetisch-poetologische Merkmale vor einem literaturgeschichtlichen Hintergrund in den Blick genommen. So soll anhand der literarischen Form die Frage nach einem Epochenumbruch um 1800 fokussiert und diskutiert werden.

Es wird empfohlen, die Einführung in die germanistische Literaturwissenschaft vorher zu besuchen.

Grundsätzlich wird aktive Teilnahme, das heißt, kleinere Vorträge im Seminar, Gruppenarbeiten und vorbereitende Lektüre erwartet. Im Laufe des Semesters sind für die Studienleistung zwei Schreibaufgaben abzugeben.

Das Modul wir durch die mündliche Abschlussprüfung abgeschlossen, insofern ist keine Hausarbeit als Modulprüfung in diesem Seminar vorgesehen.
