In diesem Seminar soll ein grundlegender Überblick über zentrale Themen der Sprachenpolitik erarbeitet werden, und zwar:
- Geschichte der Sprachförderungspolitik Deutschlands
- Deutsche auswärtige Sprachenpolitik
- Die Stellung der deutschen Sprache in der Welt
- Die deutsche Sprache in der EU
- Deutsch als Amts- und Arbeitssprache in Internationalen Organisationen
- Deutsch als internationale Wissenschaftssprache
- Spracharbeit des GI
- Deutsche Auslandsschulen
- Deutsche Minderheiten im Ausland und ihre Förderung
- Deutsch in den Medien: Deutschsprachige Zeitungen im Ausland, Deutsche Welle, Arte TV sowie
- Sprachförderungspolitik durch Übersetzungen.
