Das Seminar beginnt am Mittwoch, dem 8. Mai 2024.
Die Pragmatik ist in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts überwiegend aus sprachphilosophischen Arbeiten hervorgegangen und hat sich zunehmend als eine sprachwissenschaftliche Teildisziplin etabliert, die sich mit der Verwendung sprachlicher Zeichen im Kontext beschäftigt. In Abgrenzung zur Semantik befasst sich die Pragmatik mit den kontextabhängigen Bedeutungsaspekten sprachlicher Äußerungen. Das Seminar gibt eine Einführung in die fünf klassischen Teilbereiche der Pragmatik: Sprechakttheorie, Deixis, (Grice’sche und Neo-Grice’sche) Implikaturtheorien, (semantische und pragmatische) Präsuppositionstheorien und Konversationsstruktur. Hierbei werden sowohl die Pragmatik-Semantik-Schnittstelle als auch die Pragmatik-Syntax-Schnittstelle eingehend betrachtet werden.

Vorausgesetzt wird ein sicherer Umgang mit Grundfakten und -begriffen sowie mit Methoden und Theorien der Sprachwissenschaft, wie sie im Basismodul Sprachwissenschaft (erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Modul 23-ROM-A2_a) vermittelt werden.
