Im Kurs werden die wichtigsten wissenschaftlichen Methoden und Techniken der Linguistik wiederholt und in einen individuellen Bezug zu den verschiedenen Masterprojekten gestellt. Auf diese Art und Weise werden parallel zum Kursverlauf die jeweiligen Projekte methodisch strukturiert und geplant. Die folgenden Themen werden voraussichtlich behandelt:
- Qualitative empirische Methoden
- Quantitative empirische Methoden
- Argumentationslehre und Schlussverfahren
- Gütekriterien für wissenschaftliches Arbeiten
- Methoden wissenschaftlicher Recherche
- Methoden wissenschaftlichen Schreibens
- Textverarbeitungs- und Bibliographiesoftware zum Abfassen längerer wissenschaftlicher Texte (Word, Citavi, Latex/Bibtex, Mendeley)
- Planbarkeit wissenschaftlicher Projekte und VeröffentlichungsstrategienDiese Themen können in Absprache mit den Kursteilnehmerinnen und -teilnehmern ergänzt oder angepasst werden.

Für die Teilnahme ist es absolut notwendig, dass ein MA-Thema wenigstens als Skizze oder Fragestellung vorliegt und mit einem Betreuer/einer Betreuerin besprochen wurde.
