We will discuss recent papers in phonetics and phonology. These papers are chosen based on our own interest, e.g. as these are linked to our own ongoing research projects or as they seem to be widely discussed in the community. Alternatively, our own project work (experiments, data collections, theses) will be discussed.

Good conversational English skills
A deep, real interest in phonetic and phonological scientific work in particular, and in scientific discussion in general
Good knowledge of phonetics and/or phonology

As part of your module portfolio, it will be necessary to hold at least one oral presentation in English about a recent research paper as part of the general discussion in class. This presentation will not only be a summary of the paper, but link to points of discussion or interest, related work, open questions or unresolved issues for the plenary.
