This course introduces the fundamentals of Global Citizenship Education (GCE). Students will explore its various definitions and typologies, understand its significance in educational curriculum, explore cross-national practices, examine why international organizations advocate for GCE and ponder upon the question, “Who is a Global Citizen?” Through case studies, discussions, and group work, we will examine the significance of interculturality, sustainability, human rights, and criticality in fostering a global consciousness.
