230318 Introduction to Prosodic Analysis using Praat (S) (SoSe 2025)

Prosody is the study of intonation, pausing, and phrasing above the level of syllables. In this course, we will discuss the following topics:
1. What is prosody?
2. Prosodic analysis
3. How to analyze prosody of different languages (German, English, other languages of the participants in the course)

The course is planned as discussion sessions where I will teach how to analyze a phenomenon and practical sessions for students to carry out analyses under my guidance.

Basic knowledge of phonetics.
