996019 Preparing to act: Presentation training for Science Slam and Public Lectures (WS) (SoSe 2018)

The workshop-language depends on the participants and could be English or German. The individual presentations and the feedback will be also in the preferred language.

Contents, comment

1st Day:
- Basic principles of speech
- Gesture and facial expression
- Storytelling
- Find the right wording
- Principles of Power Point

2nd and 3rd Day:
- Stage presence
- Content Science Slam
- Structure Science Slam

Methodology:
In this workshop we will focus on individual presentation skills; more precisely finding the right wording and structure, how to tell a good story and what to do, to perform confident during a speech. The theoretical background will be combined with short exercises (also on your personal topics) and peer group discussions, enriched by inputs and knowledge of the trainer.
